8. Site-specific conditions
Barcodes.tools draws barcodes from the data you give it. It does not issue, sell or register GS1 numbers (GTIN, UPC, EAN), and a barcode made here does not make a number valid for retail. Retailers usually ask for numbers from your own GS1 Company Prefix.
Printing changes barcodes: printer resolution, ink spread, label material and size all matter. Test-scan a printed sample with the scanners that will read it before printing a full run. The label sheet layouts are approximations of common sheet sizes; print a test page on plain paper first.
